I’ve been debating jumping on the air fryer train since I bought my instant pot. Why on earth would I need a smaller oven? I mean, I have a toaster oven.
I finally bit the bullet on Amazon Prime day, the day the credit cards melt. I bought a Power XL 5.8 quart. I knew I wanted a big one with a family of 5.
They are big, and I had to make the decision every woman dreads. Does it stay on the counter? We all know that if you don’t have a quick spot for it, you won’t use it. So I cleared the toaster oven to a less accessible place and gave it a home. I promised myself that if I used it frequently, it could stay there.

I can honestly say, I’ve used it EVERY SINGLE day since I got it. Now I know I will get flack for this, but sometimes I make different meals for my kids. Let’s face it, I eat some pretty weird stuff sometimes. It’s great for quick meals, kids or otherwise.
This is what I’ve used it for so far:
– Lilydale Turkey Sausages for breakfast at least 3 times a week (8 minutes)
– Poached eggs (4 minutes)
– Roasted onion potatoes (18 minutes from raw potatoes) Recipe here: Air Fryer Crispy Roasted Onion Potatoes
– 2 ingredient dough bagels (OMG) only 10 minutes! Recipe here : 2 Ingredient Air Fryer Bagels
– Reheating fries (3 minutes)
– Chicken nuggets frozen (8 minutes)
Basically it takes HALF the time of my oven, and it’s instantly hot, NO preheating! Those days you’re too tired and hungry to cook, this really helps. It would be worth it just to reheat things (soggy pizza anyone?). In just a week, it’s saved me from eating out, just by being faster. That’s worth every penny to me.
